This is what iv brought today metal mesh some angle 50x50 6m 1000m 2 x 50x50 6m 400 that would do the rad
and 5m plate for under the rad and 6m bar to do the chassis.

not bad for 35 quid :D:D:D:D:D

it depends on it's past life, I have a 98 maverick and it's solid in those parts and has never been welded.

bitumen paint would be best as it will repell the water better

I just did that relay rod on Sunday.
Over £200 genuine Nissan and the same balljoint with more of the yellow chalk on your pic was the one that went on mine too.
Thank god I had air power in the workshop to just gun the nuts off after snapping the ends of the split pins off. That nearside balljoint on the relay rod that sits in the remote arm on the chassis leg was by far the hardest to come out.

Good luck with it and the welding!

my welding on this crappy 160amp 1.6 6013 is shocking  i need something more power and better quality welding machine but one of these will cost more than the 4x4 its self

I didn't know of any aftermarket options at the time, but working in the trade i've seen some of the consequences of poor aftermarket parts and i hate doing the same job twice! To add to this i'd just bought the truck it and it was a seriously urgent job before the balljoint seperated and the wheel folded on the motorway!

I've soldiered on with my 130amp for years but i did see the mention of 6mm bar which could be pushing 160amp i guess!

200 quid :doh I'll put the price of my steering kit up then I think ffs...............

the 160amp Clark iv had for three years now since iv passed my level 2 i have to use 1.6 6013 which burns though rods like mad and costs a fortune but its the only rod this dam welder can run with even tho its says up two 3.0.
but its not stable at all you have to strike it at least three to four times untill i started to put the rods in small tray and some heat underneath, so the butane ran out i decided just to stick it on with out any heat and it just warms the rod just nice after three years since iv passed this is the only time iv only used arc :surrender give me mig back some one

its all about how its made but all ways remember that any steel has its breaking point.

just a mad idea just came whizzing though my head :lol could you put two of these together to make the support even stronger if one fails you would have a back up ?????:nenau:nenau:nenau:nenau:nenau

makeitfit i love your photobucket its wild that's how i want mine terrano to be but you have some skills bud and the tools as well
