Yes it's that time of year again.

Unfortunately my T2 has failed and requires various bits of welding. There is no one in the immediate area that can do the work for weeks so I can't even get a rough cost for the work. It sounded dreadful yesterday but looking at it this morning it might not be so bad. I could do with keeping this truck for a while but there is a limit to the cost of repairs and the time without a vehicle.

Does anyone know any welders local to me that might be interested in doing the work in the next week or so at a reasonable cost?
Could anyone give me an indication of the likely cost?

Any help or advice would be welcome.

Have you put a hammer over the rest of it? I would be very surprised if the rot was confined just to those places, for a garage to do that work alone I would think you will not see any change from £750.

I would be seriously considering scaping it, not what you wanted to hear I know but that rust has come from the inside and might well be much more extensive, Rick

Yeah I've scrapped better than that!!!

That's awful, and going to take a whole lot of money to repair!!!!

I'd be looking for a complete new chassis at that point

Thanks Rick/Banshee,

It isn't what I was hoping to hear but better to have advice from people with extensive experience of Terranos than just general bodywork experience. I'll see what the scrap value is locally and offer it on the forum later this week.

Thanks Again,

Paul.
