Welding work needed for the MOT. Usual places.
Inside Sills at the rear both sides.
1 rear seat belt mount and just in front where the rear door opens and the area where the rear seat sits that it clamps down on. (I had the other side done last year)
Boot floor where it meets the wheel arches.
:(

I can help out where I can to save on labour. But I just cannot weld.

You can try Dave at bloodred offroad he is a very reasonable guy he has done welding work for me in the past his number is 07796401187 he is based near brighouse. Good luck

I know :surrender .... Any idea how much I could be looking at? I love my terrano it's a good truck apart from this tin worm.

Thanks Bigbunny2007 :thumb2 I'll give him a ring

I cam weld and have the equiptment. Pm me if interested. Only in Oldham but could come to you.

2days work. Bridged everything up with thick steel. Then fiberglass weaved all the flooring, then alluminium mesh and covered in a final layer of fiberglass, then all sealed and undercoated. Strong as a 25year old on 4viagra tablets and red bull.

Huge Massive Thank You to Jeff - shadowbroker - :bow:bow Came over from Oldham Sunday morning and finished the job by Mon late afternoon. I didn't do much except strip most of the interior Sat night and early Sun before Jeff arrived. All seats & all carpet out. This saved a couple of hours which meant Jeff could get on with the angle grinder to clean & prep. While I got on with the real hard work jobs like jet washing the carpets :augie
Jeff knew what to expect as he had done his own truck and removing all the interior was a wise move as the drivers footwell did not care for Jeff's hammer. Passenger side was ok though.
I will let Jeff detail the process of welding & fibreglassing that he did. I wasn't too sure at first but I now have a very strong floor. :thumb2

Thanks again Jeff :bow:bow:bow:bow

One of the previous owner loved silicon. :doh Mr Silicon used it instead of weld. Put it everywhere. Found some in the sills earlier.

gotta love the kill it with fire approach :lol

crackin job, but would it have not been quicker just to weld in a sheet of steel where you did the big patch of fibre glass?

is that ok for mot? i would be gutted if i lifted my carpets to see that
