Toolbox commented that fitting Wrangler tyres cured window swamping
Can't afford a new set of tyres yet but are some tyres worst than others?
Have seen soom 4x4s with small mud flaps on the front under the fog lamps-any comments.

I'm not convinced it's as simple as that. While I'm sure some tyres are better at "shifting" water for grip than others, I think the speed into the water and the depth have more to do with it.
However this front mud flap idea might be a goodie:sly
Do you have any pics or links to it?

Sorry no pics, just something I saw on passing ?? on a Sorrento.
May check with a Kia dealer if its an available extra.
My speed was less than 30,and water about 2or3 inches, just road side puddles.I wouldnt worry if it was serious offroad.

I've got used to it now & if I think there is going to be water sprayed up I just put my wipers on just before I hit the water:augie

I must admit with my old tyres on, that were a road tyre, I found it didn’t take a lot of surface water to blind me even with the wipers on, found myself scanning the road for the slightest puddle. I put it down to the width of the tyre pushing the water in front; it would also aquaplane quite badly. I never had this on the previous Terrano td, but that only had 215s on instead of the 235 on the tdi
The new AT tyres I have with the deeper tread obviously now clear the water and prevent the problem.

It would be a good idea to fit a front mud flap to see if it worked in preventing the water going forward even if you cut some stiff rubber up and attached with some self tapping screws just to se if it works, if successful you could then source and purchase a proper set.
