water pump year 2000 T2 2.4 petrol

need some help,recently broke down with broken water pump belt,got alternator light up and high temp.garage replaced belt and did diagnostic check,no further damage.now two weeks later getting a squeling noise in first & second gears,checked belt tensions and am pretty sure they are good,suspect water pump might be on way out,possibly roasted the pump when broke down,anybody got any ideas,second thing is looking for a part number for replacement pump,found a couple of sites quoting between £38 & £43 for new pump with same part number for year 2000 2.4 petrol model (PART NUMBER = J1511053)

Hi highlander just check your belt tension first to make sure they are not slipping when the load go on the motor in low gears.
If you are going to replace your water pump have a look in the downloads in the workshop and there are some tips about the different size water pumps. :wink:

I also have had this the belts need to be suprisingly tight also used to get a lot of noise from the belts on full lock from the power steering drive
