Hello,
I've recently noticed a small pool of water forming in front of the front off-side wheel. It does not happen all the time, just occasionally. I had a look under the wheel arch and saw that the water is dripping from the very front, so that the drop just misses the front of the wheel. I know that the washer reservoir and coolant expansion tank are just above the drip. Any ideas which it might be, presuming there are no other alternatives,
Thanks, John

Does the liquid smell of screen wash? or is it slimmy and smells of anti freeze?

Jim

No air con apart from sun roof. It doesn't smell particularly of anything, and I can't say that it's slimy,

Hello Shultz.
Had same pool of fluid yesterday.mine is definitely screen wash.Try putting some screen wash additive in and see if the smell feel etc is the same.Have'nt found leak yet but suspect it is just a tube that has come loose.

im guessing youve allready checked the temp gauge , and overflow .... id be looking at following the pipes from the washer bottle .

Get yourself some pink screenwash...whack plenty of antifreeze in the coolant (blue)

I take it your levels aint dropping?

If you have the same as me it will be screenwash - not leaking, but after you have washed the windows somehow finding its way down the front window and into a 'void' somewhere in the wing. After driving it will slosh about and cause it to drip intermitantly...at times mine was running down the road!!!!.

Ive had mine over the pit, checked all the pipes and this was the only thing I could think of. There are two drain holes under the plastic trim which should have the water run down and come out just infront of the bulk head, I suspect these will be blocked causing it to find its own route out.

I will post you a pic of where you can find the drain tube in the engine... unplug it, blow air down it with an airline and that should be your problem solved.... :thumbs

With a good tug it comes of :augie

Thanks for all the replies. I think BigBlack has got it right. The drip only occurs after I have been out in it and then dries up. Don't think it is the coolant, as there doesn't appear to be any loss, and the temp guage is running as per normal. Presumably if I want to have a look at the washer bottle then whatever liner in the arch has got to come out? I've had the truck about 3 years now and it has only just started doing this. May be a drainhole blocked somewhere.
