Each morning the inside of the windscreen is wet all over. Cannot find where water is coming from. Anybody else had similar problem? Everywhere inside, apart from window is dry. Other windows all ok.

you could be getting water in through

back door rubber...worn or not sealing

sun roof drain holes ..... blocked or damaged

drain holes located throughout the outside of truck.... not draining

are any carpets wet or any other clues...

id check the hoses on the sunroof if everything else is dry

door rubber usually gets carpet wet

have you been though deep water ?

I have same problem and posted on here the other week windscreen always wet and floor wet too think i've narrowed mine down to a worn door seal

don't iknow of its of any help

fold a strip of toilet roll the full length of the window and stick it right along the top with a few pieces of insulating tape if its coming in the top of the window you will find it in the morning or maybe your'e heater unit has a wee hole in it causing some condensation to occur .The knowledgeable ones will be along soon to offer their help hope you get to the bottom of it soon all the best.

hi struggling to find outlet for drivers sunrrof drain.cant seem to get a wire all the way through.also have dropped part off roof liner does the black bottom off the sunroof need to be sealed 10mm head screws/bolts are tibht but i can see light most off way round on drivers side ta peter

watre ingress

hi found another off my water leaks today.take out glove box and bottom off heater fan 3 screws one wire plug and look up,with bonnet open! ay back off engine bay there is a black weather trim near plastic trim over wiper arms the 1st 2 and 3rd small black poppet? that holds this down all lead into area above heater. mine had wad water in so wolud have been pumping moist water all over screen when i was trying to clear it. if you remove one or more off these and llok up you will see the day light shining in i have blocked 1st 3 up with self tapper and bit off silicone sealer then stuck weather trim back on top with same did this last week and fan motor/impeller now bone dry hope this may help some peter

wet passenger side footwell

Had a heavy bout of rain recently, i too have wet carpet primarily on the passenger side. not wet from above where the fan is, no sign of water around the sunroof or lining. Not gone through any deep water. Any ideas.

Thanks Wayne

sounds like mine after downpours of 07 that led to big floods.

take front n/s mud flap off, cavity behind full of muck, hose it out to be sure.
basically a drain that comes down a pillar cant escape floods over sill into car
in front of door, basically panel behind bonnet release.

when cleaned out its the half circle drain behind flap on outside tht it should
come out thru but capilaries? thru solid muck which cant drain downpour
quick enough but isnt fast enough to wash muck plug away either.

Well i'm hoping i've fixed my water leak in the boot:augie 1st I tried lifting the plastic boot trip & putting a coat of silicon around the edges but due to the weather at the time the silicon would'nt set & I ended up with lovely white marks down the back bumper etc:doh so I removed it & used some stuff called tacky tape which is the stuff that hold the plastic sheets on the front doors behind the door trim, well this seamed to work alot better but I was still getting a damp patch next to the hinges:dohthen I noticed that the screw next to the door hinges holding down the boot trim was'nt tightening up that well:confused: I removed the screw & pushed 2 match sticks into plastic fitting that the screw go's into & snapped them off flush:augiewhen I refitted the screw it got a fantastic hold & really tightened down & so far all seems dry:thumbs:thumbs:thumbs

thanks Rbrt, wiil give that a go the weekend. let you know how it goes,

Wayne

Have you checked the seam in the floor/bulkhead just hidden by the rubber arch liner thingy that bridges the gap from the chassis to the inner wind/body - my old one rusted there and let ater in.

Sweety - you need to buy some proper silicon, sounds like you're using some terrible stuff if it won't go off, you should be using RTV silicon not bathroom/household stuff.

That stuff went into the bin rather fast:lol:lol:lolThe tacky tape i've used is doing the job nicely plus if/when I need to remove the boot trim again it'll come away nice & easy:Dplus all I will have to do is roll the tape around in my hands to warm it up & restick it where I want it as it's a bit like blue-tac:augie

Thanks Terranosaurus, will get me torch out the weekend and get under and have a look. at least ive got some idea now where to start.

Thanks Wayne

Been on the T2 today to see if i can cure the water ingress into front passenger footwell. did What RBRT said took off the front nearside mudflap, and lo and behold the cavity behind was full up with gunge. hosed it out as advised. The amount there its hardly suprising that the water was getting into the footwell, just couldnt drain away. Did the driver side for good measure, but nowhere near as bad, although there was some silt there too.
Fingers crossed that its done the trick. if not wiilhave to investigate again.

Cheers Wayne

Been plagued with wet rear carpets for some time.Tried clearing the roof drains with some success .
Finally I cleared the drains with a piece of wire re-enforced clothes line about 4mill.followed by flushing with a garden pressure spray, the the drain hole, the nozzle fits the drain hole.
Seems to have done the trick.
Hoseing behind the front mud flaps helps-lots of rubbish collects there.
