Water Ingress Front Passenger Footwell

only noticed becuase I put it through the car wash

water appears dirty

any key areas that I need to look at first ?

side cheack the wiper motor ares.

also look at the air intake for the heater. night have muck in there that stops water draining out the heater system.

Two main culprits that I know of are....

Remove the lower windscreen plastic trims to reveal the air intake above passengers footwell, there is a oblong plate that leaks. Remove and reseal.

Also open the front doors and look at the bottom of the a post where the wing is. you can see into the cavity between the wing and plastic liner. This area gets clogged with mud. Hose this area out to get rid of the mud.

Check both inner wings under bonnet You will see where they have this thick seal between inner wing and bulk head they offten rot there and let in water Mine went just under the fuel filter, Nice job :doh

take front mud flap off, and arch liner, much builds up here, stops
water draining from front of sill, then creeps over into car, behind
panel where bonnet release is.

cant recall where it comes fro to start with, think down front of
bulkhead.

If it's muddy water then check first behind the mud flaps.

Mine does it too, trickles down the back of the footwell then makes a little puddle. This is only when its stood and raining. I think mine has possibly something to do with the plastic trim at the bottom of the screen but not sure

Ah will then it might pay as it could be your shed roof leaking then
