Hi carpet in osf wet so upon inspection carpet out hose pipe etc THE WATER IS COMING IN THROUGH THE SEEM about 6in below steering column on bulkhead ANY SUGESTIONS WHY, this has only just started. HELP. KEV.

Have a good poke around from the outside (in the wheel arch). Mine and others have rotted out on that area, mine was NSF so this year I've had a good clean and treated the area on the OSF. It is structural so better safe than sorry and it will fail MOT on that area if it's rotted.

Jim

take the scuttle panel off outside around the wipers as well and check underneath, as well as a small panel that doesn't always seal properly (but that usually causes passenger footwell problems not drivers side) that area is prone to rot.

you can get water over the sills from the are behind the front mud flaps
not draining correctly. the area fills with mud then water comes in not
draining down.

had it on my old t2, took panel off by bonnet release. though took flap
off dug out the muck, hosed clean.

Hi, may I jump in with a small hijack. I have just bought a 2004 Terrano II LHD (I am in Iceland) and the first rain I noticed water in the passenger side footwell - looks like it came from the dash area. Could you give a bit of detail about that panel to check.

Loads of posts about this one. Remove the black plastic trim on the outside below the screen where the wiper pivots stick through. Underneath the passenger side black trim there is a plate, remove the plate and seal with appropriate sealant and job done. Also a good idea to open the front doors and look towards the wing, you'll see a boat load of crud built up. Hose all this crud out regularely.

Fantastic - thanks Jim - job for tomorrow.

Let us know how it goes.....I've also had one truck which had actually rusted through being that scuttle, and it wasn't very old either.

Like the sig, I've had that as one of my mottoes for years :thumbs

OK NOW ITS STARTED IN PASSENGER SIDE FOOTWELL. All previous sugestions done but can only find leaking seam HELP or the truck gets it(SCRAPPED)
