Water in the Fuel filter trap

HI guys,

been working through my few niggles this weekend, one being the ecm intermittent. I checked the fuel filter, and unscrewed the tap, and heres the strange thing, i get a gurgle, but thats it, nothing more. Shouldnt I get water or at least some diesel spill out? Am I opening it enough?

Its in a a vacuum so you might have to release top pipe

i got that too. but then i did get diesel out in the end,,

ok, what do you mean release top pipe, there are two, and if I do that, will I get fuel everywhere?

Any pipe will do, just to release vacuum and you may get a little squirt but not loads, you will get more from the water trap under filter
