Somthings wrong with my T2s water system, the routine is go out in morning fill the empty radiator up with water (coolant level is fine) use it for daily driving park up at end of the day, next day, rad is empty, not a drop left. there's no dripping underneath but I have noticed when engine Is off there is a sort of sucking or suction noise from the top right corner of the rad that occurs about every Minuit for about 2 seconds, a mate who's a mot tester said it could be the water pump:nenau the oil has recently been changed and is nice and clean I'm all out of ideas:confused::banghead:banghead:banghead

Well the coolant or water has to be leaking out of the circuit somehow and somewhere. The noise at the top could be air sucking in as the water is draining out somewhere else. It must be down low to empty the radiator as nothing is running when its parked. As for puddles it could be running along the chassis and dispersing that way.

K SEAL

bloody good stuff. if its a big hole you may need more than 1 tub.

Just a quick observation, you said in the first pot you have to top the rad up with water, but that the coolant level is fine.
Every time you top the rad up you're diluting the coolant, so it would be worthwhile testing it now you've filled the system up, to make sure the mix is right.
My old TD used to make a sucking noise when I switched it off. The rad was leaking.

as Terranoman says, get Kseal in there once you have got the correct coolant mixture. You will have a leak somewhere, and most likely air in the system somewhere. I would fill it up in the morning, then run the car with the rad cap OFF. When it starts to get warm, and nears the brim of the rad filler, put the cap on, this pushes out the air and it should then self-purge..

Check the carpets in both foot wells, lift the carpets to feel the soundproofing, this could be wet.

If air is hissing in, then water is hissing out through the same hole, there must be evidence of leaks if you are loosing this much water.:nenau

Check it every 15 minutes while you drive.

Carry plenty of spare water with you.
