I have been doing some work with ECUTalk recording logs,it takes about 450 reading over a 30 second time laps and records them in a log.this file appears on the desk as a windows excel file ,but if you open it in excel its just a jumble of figures. So I use open office to open the file and then by separating it by colon it all falls in to nice easily readable columns. Fine!
But you cant post them on here as the files are too big even when converted to PDF its 69Kb. Dose anyone know how I could convert them in to smaller files?:lamer:

When I have done this with other data, I start off with Excel, then import the data into it, it worked for the data that I had, even then, I had to be helped to do that lol... So can't really help, but it worked in my application.:augie

I'm no Excel guru, however I imported the ECUtalk data into Excel as CSV type data and managed to produce this:

That's relay very good as a track for one or two reading's as a graph but I want to access the hole log in a spread sheet form,a bit like this, but this is just a snap shot .

I think the best way to do this is as don said so just posting this from Drop box just to see if it works, if it's easy for you to get and read etc,So i someone could download it and make sure it all comes out ok and it readable Let me Know:thumb2
