I use this type of strap for everything.

Alot quicker and less fiddley than mini ratchet straps - cheap too most of the time. Hold my hi-lift on with 2 of them, waffles boards etc etc.

try a motorbike shop or army surplus type shop.

Oxford do a range of them, small ones for fuel tank top mounting and also a bigger one - not usre what they intend them for. I've compare a few as I supply one of the Local Fire and Rescue garages with them, they use em to hold their helmets in the roof of the tenders. The Oxford ones are a bit more but are far better, they elastic stretches further, the ooks are better etc. As Elty says motorbike shops or if theres demand for a qty I can source another batc, normally buy them 20-30 at a time but could probably get less though unit rate may suffer.

id like a strong net to use like a dog guard stop anything in the boot coming into cab (rally style)
needs to be net or strap type net so it can be moved easy when i need a full size boot

also a net to hold ropes waterproofs and wellies up out of the way inside of roof

Rally style?????? - if everythings not fastened you don't get to start, suggest you adopt same tbh.

That said the std late model T2 cargo net only has elastic corners and can be fitted across the headrests and the rear seat belt upper mounts to form the kind off wire mesh style bulkhead you are after.

No they don't I think you're thinking of stock car racing, rally cars either have the original glass windows or (minimum) 4mm plastic replacements (perspex, lexan, polycarbonate etc) and they have t be wound up whilst competing.

Try demon tweeks - http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/produ...indow+net&classCode=all&brandCode=all&x=0&y=0

Its just webbing strap however. Buy a few cheap ratchet or other straps and make you're own in the size you want for what you're after.

Hi ya all will these at 40mm be good for my patrol was told to get the 50mm thick ones
what do you guys think this was based on the weight of the Patrol heavy.:nenau:nenau

any prices yet Ian.

davemud

Dave get the thick ones, weight of a patrol will break them

Nah you'll be fine with the 38mm ones. I once found the tech data for this stuff and its incredibly strong. 38mm ones will support entire vehicle weight bridging across a ditch at 1m, never mind 1 wheel at a time.
