Weather forecast is very good:thumbs

Truth is I'm not sure I trust the truck, other week coming back from Linton on Ouse in very heavy rain it coughed 3 times on the motorway which has made me a bit cautious. Plus I've been around clivvy for too long:lol:lol

Im off to Church Fenton at the end of July and if I'm lucky I might get up in a Grob Tutor. If I'm even luckier I'll be off up in something vintage instead.

Jim

i have been informed by her who must be obeyed that im not allowed to go to waddington

Tucano's are based at Linton but we are not allowed in those. Fenton is semi closed and is a satelite of Linton used mainly for training, an extra runway for circuits and bumps. With the ADSR there must be doubt on the future of these bases. I do know there was cuts in the training earlier this year.

Anyway off to bed for an early start in the morning

Another cracking airshow at Waddington:clap Totally shattered now and need bed but well worth the day out. The B17 Sally B might not be flying tomorrow though, when it landed this afternoon the tail wheel was wobbling out of control and some horrible noises from it. The american Thunderbirds may not live up to the Reds but they were good. As for the Vulcan, I went weak at the knees that that one.

If anyone is going tomorrow you're in for a good day.

Jim

How did u find traffic took 2 hours to travel ten miles for us was on door step at 9 didn't get parked till nearly 12

But still a great day once inside long live the battle of brittian display they make any show didn't see any harrier display tho and I think there great

I got to Waddington and parked up for 8:15, i learnt the lesson and set off good and early. Only really hit traffic getting on to base. then we got directed to park behind the american hangers on the playing field. Didn't leave till nearly 7 as traffic was slow off the car park so sat and ate tea.

Unfortunately unless a Harrier ends up in private hands you'll not see another fly, end of an era thank you Mr Cameron. Don't get me started!!! I'll just watch the Falklands get taken again but we'll not get em back.

Jim
