Bought a T2 the other day and the drivers seat isnt the most comfortable, I have a set of Volvo S60 seats taking up space, I was wondering if anyone else has fitted Volvo or other seats in their T2

I haven't but there was a thread started here only a few days ago about someone grafting other seats into a terrano. Airbags could be a problem. If you have seat bags.

You have to keep the main seat base frame/runners from the T2 & make brackets to mount new seats onto the T2 runners but not all seats are easy to adapt due to their seat base frame work. You also have the problem of fooling the T2's ecu if you have side air bags as the light comes on IIRC as soon as the T2 air bag seats are unplugged

Air bags are simple to over come I bought srs airbag resisters on ebay and that sorted that. Ideally you want seats that have bolts right on bottom. Mine are buckets but I've had to rebuild seat bases as they felt too high. Wife's legs were dangling lol so have a measure up and make sure end hight isn't more than standard. Also while I reupholstered mine I stuck in some heating elements hehe

Thanks all, will have a measure of the volvo seats over the Christmas holidays, the volvo seats bolt to the floor in the same way as the T2 but unsure about the rear

It was me that posted up the thread recently, this fell through though due to a lack of uncertainty. I don't think I'd have easily been able to swap them over even though they were Nissan seats :doh

Oh, and the AirBag light can be resolved by soldering a resistor in place, I did a write up on this somewhere too, I then waterproofed it and slid it under the carpet :thumbs2
