We'll got on the motorway and as soon as on the slip road a funny chinging noise could not pull up as no hard shoulder so gently drove it to next junction to get this

Fan belt had partially snapped and had lassoed bottom hose ripping it of.
Aa was great recovered home with in 30 mins

Blimey must have been giving it stick to break a volvo eh ;)

But on a serious note, easy fix?

Should be easy would have gone home and got the terrano to tow the volvo but no one about to run me home. Was going to run the terrano into work as had not used it all week but didn't have time to swap them on the drive

Ouch hopefully there was enough coolant in the system:augie The bottom rad hose clip snapped on my old escort whilst rushing my wife to hospital, lost 80% of the coolant which blew the head gasket & cracked the head:doh

It only dropped the coolent pulling up nearly fell over In volvo £54 for hose tried every scrap yard none about. £7 for a proper ribbed metal joiner that's the hose sorted. New belt already on it. Have to say been very lucky with it as most belts that snap snag up with the cam belt and wreck the engine

Shhhhh.... don't post things like this about Volvo's on here, Ryan might still be lurking...:lol

I think you should probably do not bother doing the lottery tonight though, I think you might have used up all your luck today...:lol

You been lucky:thumbs as bad as the price was for the hose I bet your pleased that was all that was needed

Quite pleased need to work on the terrano soon as want to get it all under sealed and any welding sorted
