Hi chaps, my next problem is the vibration which I'm getting between 50-60 mph. It's not the wheels or tyres, I've replaced all ujs, been tracked and out of interest while the back end was up in the air on stands I spun the rear wheels upto 55mph and it was there. Also checked wheel bearings and all seem fine. It's only at 50-60mph. Any ideas ?? thanks

Take it off the jacks :jesterbg

But seriously, do you get the vibration when taking off/ putting back on the gas?

Lol nice one but I'll be honest with you I feel like selling this thing sometimes lol, it starts at just over 60 and stops at 70 and still makes the noise if I push clutch in and free wheel :doh

it may have been tracked , but has it had the wheels balanced ?.....also was the diff oil replaced with limited slip diff oil ?

New tyres and balanced twice but was there before I had the new tyres. It's 100% coming from the back and yeah I used comma lsd. It's doing my nut :doh

Hmmm, I've seen faulty new tyres before, warped and the likes.

I suggest jacking up and spinning wheels and looking for buckles :thumb2

No amount of balancing would remove this. Wheel bearings??

Something inside the diff? The gear missing a tooth or something?

Your making me scared now:eek:

Wouldn't be worried, jack her up n get the wheels spinning slowly, check for a "bob" in the wheels to see if buckled.

If not check for play (wheel bearings)

Diff is prob a long shot, I do not know how to check that :nenau

It's not the wheels, I've even swaped them and also taken wheels off when I had it up on stands and still the same

Change diff oil again just to be sure. Then if its still there take a look in the rear drums.

I think I will try changing the oil again, it's not the drums as I've also taken them off and spun it up :thumbs

See what oil does. After that surely it can only be the rear diff or wheel bearings.

That's what I thought but have had both rear wheels and drums off and don't feel any play in bearings at all, Do you know if any of the bushes on the back end could give me this problem ?

Hmm, sounds like you have done some stripping already then, if you are changing the oil monitor what comes out too!

And just to eliminate can you post a pic of the exact oil :nenau :thumb2
