After much reading and research I'm on my second tank of 50/50 veg oil.

I like to think after all these years working on motors that I have a keen ear and feel for engines and doing my best to be subjective, I'm pretty certain that my Patrol is running quieter and smoother. A tiny bit of hesitation on very cold starts for a few seconds. I up the hand throttle as soon as oil pressure up too.

Gotta admit that it fills me with a warm smug feeling that I can run the "Old Datsun" on cooking oil and save some dosh from the robbing taxman.
