Mind how much you use your clubcard if you plan on using lots of Veggie ..

why,

might they want to buy it back if they run low?

stored on your clubcard account is all you have ever bought using your clubcard , this allows for targeted advertising , the information contained on it is available to law enforcement agencies.

been on a 60 mile round trip and before i left i made sure a mate would be on hand to tow me back if i conked out, i got to the first traffic lights after about 1/2 mile and notice the idle tick over was stuttery but a mile into the journey at another set a traffic lights everything running great, i do feel the jeep is running more smoothly and it was a pleasure to drive and i have not felt like this while paying scandalous fuel bills even thou i get it cheaper across the border.

can i put this in the wifeys 1999 focus tdi ?.

I think it's a no no  I know they have a pretty picky fuel pump and are prone to problems anyway! If someone out there knows for sure then great but ....:nenau

when i was filling up with bio last week, there was a guy there with a 6 month old mondeo that has run on bio from day one, i got chatting to him and all he said was that on a cold morning it takes a bit more turning over but always starts. :thumb2

I may be out of date but I would not recommend Focus for sure and probably mondeos running on Bio.

We have a v large fleet of Focus' all pretty new and all with high mileage.

Last year they had a lot of problems that were directly related to running on bio.

An instruction went out to stop using bio and hey presto, problems stopped :nenau

I notice this thread is jumping about a bit but for those who may not be aware ( and there will be someone out there ;) ) bio and svo are completely different products in terms of lobbing them in the fuel tank :thumb2

just been sent this link..

worth a look!!

Theyre a helpful bunch. I was in touch with them when I got the jeep which needs modding before it can run on svo.

My understanding from them and other reliable sources is the the two tank system is not always a necessity. The main role of the second tank is to hold svo so you can run on 100% diesel from the first/original if needs be. This is useful in a few cases from cold. If you get the mix right and or use an in line heater you may well not need a second tank and can save valuable boot space (and dosh)for collecting vege oil from tescos.

what ratio are you running? 50/50 didn't ought to cause a problem but I believe its true that using SVO does tend to expose any existing weaknesses in the engines running....?

Mine used to sometimes splutter a tad when starting with a heavy mix but I cured that by leaving the glowplugs on a for a few seconds extra before turning the key to Start.....
