I use a similar device on my Skoda, mainly because its such a bore removing the engine under tray. Works pretty well too, start the pump go have a coffee come back and sump is emptied straight into an old 5L container with no mess.
As its so easy oil changes tend to more frequent than they may be otherwise.

Withe the Terrano I have not bothered as its very easy to roll under and pull the sump plug. But you still then have to decant the used oil into something for disposal......

What make/model is that? I assume it's a 12v jobby.

Garage used a similar device when they over filled the truck and I took it back. Nice tool to have but I'd always plan not to get into a situation where I needed it. Sump plug works for me otherwise.

How long is your inlet pipe that goes through the dipstick? I've bought a Clarke version and its pipe is 1.2m long. With the pipe in up to the hilt with the motor up against the dipstick inlet hardly anything comes out other than splattering oily bubbles after 15mins. I'm wondering if the pipe is not long enough.

I suggest you hold the suction pipe up to the dipstick and check it is a little longer....
