upgrades time

hi guys i am going to be buying my next t2 at the end of feb and i have been think of some upgrades for her . firstly has any one ever fitted a six speed box in a t2 from say an navara . i was thinking it would fit on too a 3.0litre t2 with little effort and possibly the 2.7 litre t2 with a bit of effort and a mod or two or am i dreaming?!! .secondly has any one ever taken the body off the chassis to fit lift blocks on the a t2 .i was thinking it would be easy at this time to also carry out any repair (welding)work to the body shell or chassis while they are apart ; but dont know what sort of job it would be to do .as always i would appreciate your views and comments .many thanks rich bids

I suppose just tread carefully. Chances are there will be something that needs doing to whatever you buy. So if you have a budget don't blow it entirely en find out you need to do something mechanical.

I think with the blocks you are talking of a body lift, yes people on here have done that before (I'm sure someone will mention)

Also the gearbox... Is it really worth it? Chances are with enough time and cash it will fit but... :nenau mabye someone will comment on this too.

Me personally I'd love to see both but don't go nuts, you will need to do a few bits :lol

Loads have done body lifts a quick search will bring loads up on it:thumb2 Now a 6th gear would be nice for motor ways etc to drop the revs & save some fuel but the cost of the conversion if poss would prob far out way any savings, I personally have just started driving a bit slower on motor ways etc & now do 55-60mph which keeps there revs at or just under 2.5K & the mpg has increased nicely
