So as I mentioned before I would soon become jobless but I could not say anymore.

It's no longer secret service stuff but please don't tell all your mates in dealerships ect as it's still not wide known :thumb2

My work which has been in place since 1927 as a jaguar and Daimler main dealer, with appointment for her majesty ect, repairing of everything from the queens royal armoured cars to jose mourinhos car and various other celebs is closing!!!

Seems the company has been losing money recently and as such it will seize to trade :(

For many of the customers it will be bad as the dealership is very unique, not the typical main dealer experience "you are customer number 3"

The dealership consists of a cobblestone mews in many different garages, the properties alone worth a small fortune as located in Kensington just off the high st.

A real shame with some incredible heritage doing down the drain, my boss Michael Quinn is actually the grandson of the founder of Jaguar :D quite cool if you like your jags

There is still a small hope of the place remaining as an independant service center, for the technicians sake, I hope so.

Most of the techs have been there between 35-43 years each :eek:most right out of school, only ever having one job!!!

On a bright side for me, when I move to Sandy - Bedfordshire I will look at the Norton way group in bedfordshire, there is actually a Nissan dealer there too :naughty (they'd see me coming a mile away) :lol

Alex, that sounds like a common syndrome these days....very sad to see old established companies going down. It is a part of Britain`s engineering history gone never to come back.
The `old boys` suffer far more, as it is a real culture shock, to have to meet the 21st century job market, head on....very sad.
On a brighter note, perhaps your house move will enable you, as a `bright young blade` to make a new employment start.
The greatest of good luck...:thumb2

You've posted that in the wrong section mate... should be in the "Jokes" bit I reckon  :lol

You're absolutely dreaming bud

I sure am, it's a possibility though, I remember back in honda one of the salesman picked up a 2005 honda (2 years ago) off this customer for 800 quid, full service history about 20,000 spent on it in service bills, sold it for 4/5k :naughty
