i havent rung yet , but no eta ( estimated time of arrival ) , or any sign of terrorists yet :lol:lol

as a bit of a footnote , these guys offered to check it for me etc, and fix it , so i dont wanna push them , id rather the job was done properly and not rushed even if it means me being a virtual prisoner in my home during the day, will this after market atf cooler work as well as the original ? and if i choose later on can i put a original auto radiator in? cos ive seen one brand new and boxed in dewsbury ( near me ) for £179 , my question is, will the after market one work as well ( or better ) than the original , and could i leave that in at a later stage and put a original radiator in as well , and will it affect the performance etc ?

for the uninformed ... e.t.a. is also the name of a basque seperatist organisation

im guessing the original rad will be water cooled as well as air cooled, but the after market one will be just air cooled ... am i wrong ? and will it work ok bearing in mind its very hilly around here ( ask clivvy lol ) , or am i just worrying about nothing ? :nenau

I was sat here wondering if you can get basques in CAMOUFLAGE...

reds whites blacks and pinks would just stand out to much for warfair

obviously due to my recent experience , i dont want this new gearbox to go the same way as the last one , am i being a little over cautious ?

Hi briggie

i would personally stay with the factory set up.

Ps have you got an aut transmission tempeture warning light on your clocks cluster.

It may be worth making sure that it works.

good luck

its a question for toolbox i recon. or terra . but your original one wont cool it less than 88 or is it 82 degrees the thermostat opens at

so thays why i considered making my own .

all depends what the after market one is like i guess , you can get all sorts of rads big small and fanned so who knows

my vote is the garage is fixing it and doing the work . so there must be some degree of trust in them knowing what they are doing, my expectation is anyway

im assuming the guarantee there work fora period of time . and as bat pointed out they are responsible for supply and fit .... so works for me.

just give them a polite call lunch time or run round with some donuts. that always works

Might be an idea to get them to check if you got a warning light, or fit one...

told you, ETA are terrorists, well, kind of, been around for donkeys years.

anyway, i expect the garage know what they are doing if they are a 4x4 garage, they will know their stuff. a lot of aftermarket stuff can be much better than the original, and will most certainly come with a work/product guarentee, so your covered.

im very confident they will check that , they seem to be very good and helpfull , i will ask though once theyve mended it

talking of things getting hot and being knackered , i thought id make our lass a nice apple, plum and ginger crumble for when she finished work ..... er ... um , i forgot id put it in the oven when it was on and its sorta very dark brown now :doh
