Hi guys,

Sorry to start yet another thread on tyres. I have searched the forum but couldn't quite find the answer I'm looking for.

What biggest tyre size can I go for on my standard terrano? I'm currently running 235/75R15 BFG All Terrains. What size can I go for without having to lift the truck or modify wheel arches etc

Thanks,

Maybe he forgot the bit about welting the wheel arches with a lump hammer?

:nenau

Only did that for the 33's :nenau

When I put my 31 10.50 15's BFGoodrich AT's on my Maverick I just removed the mudflaps at the front and re-indexed the torsion bars and had no problems after that :thumb2

Is there any differences between the Maverick suspension and the Terrano suspension?

Identical mate, just a re-badged Terrano, all the components in the engine bay and underneath are stamped Nissan, just the front grille, steering wheel and back door badge that really make the difference.

Ford were onto a winner there not sure why they dropped it :nenau

:freak3:

Derrrr, 'cos they're stooopid.

:doh

Like so many large organisations, they're run by "up their own arse" pillocks who would rather listen to "consultants" and marketing companies rather than look at the product and listen to customers.

My wife works for a large airline who have recently decided that in Business and First there will be an allocation of only one bread roll per passenger.

No seconds for you Mr £5,000 transatlantic ticket or you Mr £7,500 transatlantic ticket!

:doh

It's painful.

My 31" tyres rubbed loads with a 2"body lift and no mud flaps.

At our Wales meet Fez I was running 31's with no issues at all including mud flaps, no boy lift just a standard T2, Rick

Me too, they were worn though. I'm thinking if they were new tyres I'd get sick of the noise of them rubbing on the flaps:naughty

"Rubbing your flaps" :lol
Tyre sizes are notoriously inaccurate. Quoted size and actual measuring stick size are very different 😑

What do they actually measure though, Mine were spot on 31"

You are right they measure nearer to 30, they are not on the motor now as worn out but when I put them on a couple of years ago they had far better tread, Rick

So to triple check if I'm 235/75R15s now. Which come in at 27" which tyre size will take it up to 30" diameter?

Cheers

Have a play on http://www.blackcircles.com/general/tyre-size-calculator
My 235/65/17 come out as 29", which doesn't match my out in the dark, measuring tape after a glass of wine measurement of 28". I know the tryres are old, but really?
If I can get the equivalent of an inch and a half lift just by buying a new set of boots with out further modifications, and then a further two inches on the suspenders. happy days.
