Where do i start :nenau

Currently running on 31x10.50R15's
BFG A/T's on the front
Maxxis Buckshots on the rear

Made up my mind that I'm going to go for 33x12.50R15's

My dilemma :doh

It is my only vehicle :D
So it is my daily drive :D
But...
Also my toy... :naughty

Realistically i use it on road about 85%
But...
When i do go off road,it is proper green laning with Colin or in pits...:naughty

I cant warrant having 2 sets of wheels,1 for on road,1 for off...:(

So what tyre would you advise :nenau

I'm leaning toward BFG A/T's all round as the tyre speaks for it self :clap

on t2 had at2 by general, were great all round and in derbyshire lanes.

as they wore well, but planned the kumbo kl71s as good lucking mudders
good value too and look fair on road. dont think can get for the troll so
may go at2 again for ammount of off road we do. voted kl71 though...

the welsh slate can rip em to shreads in seconds

On my old T2 I had a set of Colway AT's fitted... same tread pattern as the BFG AT's with a 50-50 bias.

They wore well, got me through some serious mud and snow, towed large heavy trailers out of soft fields and performed alright on the road too - albeit limited to about 84mph top speed (plenty enough for the T2!)

Plus at about 40 quid a corner, excluding fitting didnt matter (too much) if one got ripped or punchered! :doh

Just searched on net and not sure if there trading now though???

On previous trucks I used to have 2 sets of wheels/tyres but I got sick of swapping and ended running on M/T all the time.
Don't take the Patrol anywhere extreme so I just have one set of BFG A/T now . They do everything I need :augie
I like the look of those new Kumho , but what about BFG M/T ? :nenau

when i researched the at2s found were equal to bfg at in all but price. being i think
about 40 quid a corner less. paid about 280 for 4 fitted thru black circles btw.

reckon changing a full set is a chore and then you find your out with wrong set...

Well

No further forward at the moment :doh

Not interested in BFG Muds or the new 1's as there like rocking horse shit to get hold of :nenau

Shall i just go for the Toyo's as a test pilot

They're not, they went bust about this time last year. Rumours of production having started up again in Poland but nothing firm just 1 ebay seller claiming it wen others in the trade have heard nothing, he may just be selling new old stock.

Can you get them fitted for free? If not you need to factor in anything form £20 - £40 (possibly more) for a set of four fitting. A few garages I know charge extra if you bring mail order tyres to what they would if they were selling you the tyres too.

Yep :thumbs

FREE fitting :D

By my boss at work or me mates workshop :D

Have you considered a Cooper tyre?? I run Cooper Discoverer S/T's atm for every day use and have just brought a second set because i like them so much. Theyre a 70/30 offroad/onroad bias so more like an aggressive A/T than an M/T.

If you are worried about slashing your sidewalls then you obviously need something with a strong sidewall; most decent M/T's come with a reinforced. In my case that does me with a small dilemma because i love my S/T's but they dont give me enough sidewall protection . I was recently talking to someone well respected in the offroad world who has found the same thing and has gone back to BFG A/T's because he keeps ripping the sidewalls out of his other tyres. I for one am not a huge fan of BFG's but have to admit that in some cases you get what you pay for.

I know that probably didnt help much but it might give you something to think about

I think i'm gonna stay with the BFG A/T's on the front but in 33's
&
Go for
BFG M/T on the rear in 33's
