I've now been waiting around 11 weeks for mi new tyres to come and yet still no date  (235/75/15 stock size I believe)
but was offered 30/9.5/15 which are around an inch taller maybe more with tread depth...

The thing is as I tow a very heavy trailer/load will the bigger tyres make a lot of difference to the power and place unneeded strain on the transmission :?: as the final drive ratio will be different...

the tyres are kl71's  as I didn't want silly tyres like I've got on the Isuzu's

30's are only about a 4% increase in diameter, perhaps a bit more with the tread depth. I found 30s almost but not quite corrected my speedo and have had no problems towing even very heavy loads. The transmission is pretty bomb proof except perhaps the gearbox but those seem to be related to poor maintainence from what I can gather.

KL71s are a pretty hardcore mud tyre - have you seen any in the flesh?

yeah..

I've got ANACONDA'S on the little trooper and RECIP TRIAL'S on the other...

Fair comment compared to them I suppose they're quite tame. I was just surprised when I saw some on Wednesday night just how good they looked. Had got the impression from some quarters they were a sort of AT/MT cross but definitely not.

Hi Hummingbird, I know you mean no harm, but better to be safe than sorry.
Some words have more than one meaning and the word hardcor e is one of them.
For the amount of times its used its a word that in the other text we don’t want to see used.
I am not at home 24/7, so the site has to protect itself for me while at work.

Better than to have the site hit by a load of p orn (oh no theres another!), as you may know did this did happen in the early days of free membership.

Sorry if your not happy that your word was replaced for safety reasons.
As you know we work towards a safe site.
That’s why people keep coming back.

Regards, Mav.

And yes i know its -offtopic-

I've been looking at the the K71s as well for my t2.

I was told to look at 225/75/16s for my standard T2 wheels

I told em to send the 30/9.5/15 should be here tomoz. Needed the tyres now as it's having the alloys re-done and i wanted them to fit the new tyres as i reckon they'll take more care with the rims fitting them....
