Tyre size Reduction!!

Hi

I have standard 215 80 15s on my 95 Terrano, can I run a 215 75 15, as I've been offered a set. If not can the rims take a 235? Original steel wheels.

Hi Soggydog, love your name.

As for the tyres if you have 215 80 15's on now then 215 75 15 should be ok. 75 is just a lower profile than 80.

Hi soggydog I would go foe 235/75R15's as it'll give you a slightly better foot print

soggy dog hello again my t2 is on 215 x15 all terrain.
was told the rims are smaller then the later rims so 235 wouldnt fit.
but i find they cut through mud better than the 235 `s

Apparently later vehicles with 15 inch rims were fitted with 7j r15's, meaning the 235/75 R15's were fitted, earlier ones came with 6x15's and these are too narrow for the 235's.
