It says my speedo will under read by about 10% with the new tyres - whats the betting its about spot on

Although as the speedo doesn't work properly it will be difficult to tell - ought to start a thread on that actually.

Cosmic,

Now were not on Zippy's wanted thread, what year Pajero Wheels do you have and what size tyres again, you say you had to make some mods. to get them to fit properly, is that due to the offset of the wheels.

After replying to Zippy's wanted add I'm now tempted again about putting my General Grabber AT2's 245/70/16's on the Terrano. They are really good tyres and have great road manners.

Looking at the Tyre size calculator there seems very little difference between those and the std. 235/75/15's, so was hoping that with the right choice of wheels I'd get away without having to make any mods at all.

Mods for mine where because I have put approx 32" tyres on and involve hiting it with a biog hammer a lot - not for the fient hearted - father in law was a bit gob smacked I was doing this to a car I'd just bought

Tyres you're talking about should fit with most jap fit 16" wheels, take care some are really inset but they are easy to spot - fronteras ae a good source of 16" 6 stud whels.

Cheers HB,

Will look out for Frontera Wheels then, that is if I don't sell the LR Wheels and Tyres first.

Was a bit cautious the the Centre Bore on the Terrano seems smaller than most, will that not put too much load on the studs or doesn't that really matter?

Sorry pal, don't know what year Paj they were off!i needed spacers to clear the front calipers and needed to cut the front mud flaps coz they were rubbing.
They are 15" rims with 31" worn tyres on!!
I have a set of Grabbers on my Alloys, which i probably will put back on for the winter, they cope very well in snow!!

Cheers Cosmic.

HB do Frontera Wheels go straight on without needing spacers etc?

Cheers Guy's.

oh, you were going to give them to me cosmic..

 i know im dreaming again

zippy

You're sounding desperate zippy!!
Guess you have road tyres on at the minute?
Grabbers are not that dear pal,min were £70 a corner last year sometime!!

Its dificult to give absolutes cos manufacturers change their specs, frontea wheels should go on fine but Vauxhall/Isuzu might have chaned things at times and some versions might not fit - a bit like the Pajero/Shogun thing Neil came across. I had no problems running Mitsi wheels with 31" tyres Neil had to put spaers on to clear the calipers - unless you're using the exact same pattern wheels its difficult to say.

Hi HB it was Cosmic (Steve) who had the probs not me sweety (Neil)  don't worry seema common for peeps to mix us up some how

gordies are just englishman trying to be scottish   way aye!!
