Hi All,

Got some questions about the tick over and heating in my 97 terrano LWB 2.7 tdi.
Couple of minor niggles I could do with a bit of advice on.
I bought her back in June and she has been running hunky dorey throughout the summer! I have noticed now its geting a bit colder the tick over seems to of dropped a bit! Dash and interior trim have started to rattle. Is it easy to adjust and how do I go about it.
Secondly my heater is rubbish, the fan makes loads of noise but a recon I could cough more wind on the windscreen. Any ideas anyone?

Thanks in advance,

Steve.

On the vent side of things I guess you've got something adrift as mine blows a goodn,

Checkout the downloads section for the pollen filter location, it's common for that to block when it's been in for a while.
Sorry can't help with the tickover.

Heater blower fixed, Tick over next.

Jim.

Thanks for the great advice. :thumbs
I did exactly as you said, went to the downloads and followed the intructions on pollen filter removal and hey-presto I now have a working blower.:clap
Talk about blocked, dont think its ever been changed!

Doubt if I will ever fit another pollen filter unless you experts out there think it needs re-fitting for a reason.

Now just the tick over, anyone out there know how to adjust it on a 1997 2.7 tdi?

Cheers

As far as I'm aware you need a filter in there, not sure if it has something to do with the aircon.
I've been thinking about your tickover problem, mine was similar and indeed still is until it gets warmed through. Until a few weeks ago my engine hardly got warm, I changed my thermostat from the standard 82 degree to an 88 degree version but in fairness when I took my old thermostat out it was buggered. Anyway this afternoon mine was shaking and rattling when engine was cold but after 5 to 10 mins my engine was warm and ticking over nice and smooth again.
