Nice work spinna - 10mm ply was my choice too. I looked at all sorts of options and nothing got else got close for weight versus strength without spending big buck on composites etc aluminium just didn't cut it.

Having a SWB I had to build upwards.

lower level is storage for 2 jerry cans and a trolley jack in the centre.
Mid level is two plastic boxes, one for recovery gear the other for tools, spares etc (tape, bits of pipe, drive belts etc) and a Kelly kettle.
Upper level is camping gear and food strapped down to the anchor points in the floor and then cargo netted over.

This was all done for Mac Challenge and worked really well giving easy access to things and secure stowage.

Sort of wish I hadn't sold mine but had no where to keep it when not in car.

I could do with one of these in my van too, what did you cover it in?

Ive a set of runners you can have. Up the hill in devizes

not sure how long the runners are but here a little something I knocked up at lunch time

The circles will be holes drilled for weight saving and to let the air circulate so the bedding does not end up smelling musty, and also it will give the ply some flex so it should make things a little more comfortable. :D

I should be able to get my surveying equipment in the drawers when working and the camping stuff when not, the top will flip over to make a bed with the back seats are laid flat.

Also the flaps over the arches will be hinged to allow me to get to the jack, and to provide storage for small items, ropes, gloves, and small hand tools, hammers, spanners etc :clap

Ive only one set runners. So one big drawer.

Though i do have 2 small sets
