Transfer Lever

well today i finally got around to modding the transfer lever so i can get into 4low, the reason i've left it so long was i thought i was going to have to get mr grinder or mr hammer to talk to mr floorpan, happily this was not the case instead i just had to chop out some plastic trim

but then the lever wasn't long enough with the nob on the top so i had to fab myself an extender

for that i just used a nut and a bolt and welded them together lol

test fit

all looked good so i put it all back together

so then gave it a test and all works as it should although the gator pulls a bit tight so i just unhinge it from the hooks that hold it down and its no problem

Just a bit confused, how does the lever go into the slot, surely the gator still stops it?

na i chopped a bit out of the gator too, just forgot to take pic of it lol

err, extenders are £2 off eBay, and aint the center console going to be messy looking,? also what's that black rubber thing thats under the gator where the transfer leaver pokes through? mine didn't have one of those, only a hole strait through to the gearbox:doh so i put heat shield and sound deadening across

no issue, just my mate got one at £2 for his rodeo

saved myself £2 then by making one, can only really see it if you have a good look and dont really care either way, the rubber bit is a rubber gator for when ya wading it helps stop water gettin in the truck :lol

ahh well the square headlight Terrano doesn't have that, might get one and shove it in for extra water proofing
