My tracking is out should you get steering wheel back central after tracking done or will i need to take steering wheel off.

Is there a step by step for removel of steering wheel in downloads

Thanks will have done Wednesday.

Careful on where you take it to have it tracked. A lot of places round our area didn't have a clue I found a place that does spot on each time now.

Cheers Gav

Tracking done

Went to express tyres in Bradford used before he is a good lad on tracking mine was Miles out after doing track rod, it was out before so worth having done £20. steering wheel back in the middle the lad had a lot of experiance on tracking lazer 4 wheel kit, could see how bad it was the red lazer was on the back tyre he adjusted back on the scale he even said how far my steering wheel was out before tracking he was spot on, he said call back in week for re checking.

Need some part worn tyres now hard to find. 235 70 16.
Some on Ebay might keep looking, watching, asking local tyre fitters

Worth getting it checked as if he had to heat the lock nuts or adjustment bars, then adjustment may be out once cooled.

I have a spare set of alloys with 2 x Grabber AT2's with about 9mm if you're interested.
Can get them as far as Carlisle.
Just PM me if interested.

Thanks

I Put gas blow torch on the nuts the day before to make it easy, plus one garage I rang said if he had to spend time on nuts £28

the steering wheel must never be removed in order to centre it, the box worm drive is made tighter at straight ahead, as this is where most wear takes place, if straight ahead is off of this point then you will have more slack and a tight point one side, potentially dangerous if someone decides to adjust to take up the slack straight ahead which after wheel removal is not now the case, Rick

Funny that, my new truck is slightly out too. News tyres on all corners when I got it so don't want em spoiling. Booked in on Friday afternoon.

Thanks

That is worth knowing, So tracking will bring back to centre, New,part worn tyres now for front, would like A/T, Road tyres fitted now might put road tyres from back to front A/T for back.
