Hello all,

I carried out a suspension lift on my Terrano a couple of weeks ago. LWB springs in the rear and lifted torsion bar at front. I also fitted 31/10.5/15 on -20mm offset wheels.

The truck seems to still track straight, but I am thinking of having it checked. The tracking is a fairly easy adjustment to make by any tyre fitting garage, but I am more worried about the camber, as I have heard you have to re shim the suspension arm. And this sounds like a labour intensive task. I could make up some measuring equipment to check the camber. but how do I adust the camber. Then I could take it somewhere to do the tracking,

That is unless someone knows a tracking place in the Milton Keynes area, that will not charge a small fortune??

Also which edge of the tyre will where due to lifting the truck, will it make the camber more + or more - .

Thanks

Gavin

tracking n stuff

Hi. if you go to one on the main tyre places that have the latest tracking equipment, after checking you car you get a geometry printout showing all the correct settings against the readings for your car. they cover castor, camber toe in toe out etc.

Had mine done on my mondeo cost me £68 for 4 wheel alignment. has improved tyre wear and made it even across the width.

Had Mav checed, only needed tracking tweaked.

I used Elite on the A13 in Dagenham. .....which in nowhere near milton keynes

I had mine done at Marshalls Nissan in Cambridge they charged me about £70 and only took a couple of hours, again not in MK sorry mate

Terrano's move into negative camber as you raise them so the inner edge is likely to wear more.
