having run this once again past Dan he says if it has any signs of requiring a head gasket it will almost certainly 99.9% need a new head and even at ttrade prices this is going to cost you £700 to £1000 jst to buy the head (depending on the model) so be cautious!

call me tight or carefull but iwould have to be pretty sure of a second hand engine to pay out that kind of cash! and if it is a 2.4 the engine from a 3l may be a pain to fit. Then adding it all up th cost of everything and the trouble invoulved it may not be the great buy it first appears!

and i dont think we have any workshop downloads for these either! :lol:

not being a kill joy just advising caution to avoid a head ache later!

might be best of sticking with your Nissan :?:

Milners do a bare 3L head for £500 & a complete head for the 2.4TD for £398. hope this may be of some help :smile:
