I agree extreme, its certsinly food for thought and its not the first time it has cropped up, maybe something for the future?
Hi Plank I started off just meanin the banner but now you mention it .....ford do a few other 4x4's including a ranger pick up and a big v6 auto gas guzzler called and explorer? thers a ford transit county 4x4, and probably many more, I remember briniging this up a couple of years back if we acept the new ford maverick (mazda) as a valid members vehicle, then why not a ford ranger (mazda)?
I am a member of 2CVGB which is one of the largest an longest running car clubs and they are open to 'friends of the 2cv' you don't even have to own one just be interested!
or did you just mean whats the diffrenece in the banner?:lol
certainly had mazda tribute based ford mavs here, cameraman for one.
opening up the coverage has been raised under old and new owners...
on the subject of the explorer, has anyone ever seen one close to off
road. my memory is pulling one and its caravan of a very muddy rally
field..bit of a convoy. dont think they new how to engage 4wd or had
slick / road tyres. sure theres lots modded in states. think downfall here
has been the 4.0 v6 and no derv version.
think they will be slush
boxes too which puts many brits off for some reason.
i should imagine the cossy engine will still have some guts anyway pete
i dont suppose you will need to lift it too much........
just fit a lauch mode button
