will have a vid shortly once i figure how to do it :lol

nice set of pics, i think there were only 3 nissans in total :lol

i think when money isn't as tight as it is right now i'm gonna get a 2" lift because today i heard th bottom of my truck scrape the ground more than once and when i got home i noticed one of the electric sockets on the tow bar had been bent

ref electics, mount them on (in) the step bumper out of harms way.

then if want can remove towbar, many do though loss recovery point
gain heavy duty eyes either side on frame thru which a bridle can be
mounted.

lift: sure but also make sure its as naturally tall as it should be ie spring sag
and torsion bars wound up correctly.

a lift wont resolve unless have bigger tyres, more £££s..

Done all those in the above pics :thumbs

Did you do the fords as well

Well I can see the fun of off roading/green laning no problem but when it looks as though the objective is chew up as many tracks as possible and go through big puddles fast (first part) for a photo call I start to wonder.

Put that in context with the indication you were off piste.

It isnt good for you, it isnt good for the 4x4 community and it does reflect badly on the club.

Still I suppose though thats the difference between leisure off roaders and real working off roaders.

Sorry guys Im completely unimpressed and I know once the superficial impact of splashing along is over many others are too.

have to agree.pindale is under threat anyway and this just adds fuel to the fire.

second group was myself, dinky, nellie and i cant remember 4ths name, as far as going off piste at pindale, myself and dinky just parked up and didn't do any driving at all, and to be honest i never knew the others had gone off piste this being my first time out

i agree the pindale thing and as i wasnt leading that group i cant say what actually went on

just for the record i do not deviate from the path and do not exceed 12mph on the lanes, but i cant say the same for others

splashing through the puddles is all part of the fun thou

we never went on a lane that wasnt a true legal green lane

we even had a chat with some ramblers that had got lost :lol

farmer opened a gate for us as well

found a field of 4 leaf clovers too? thats more than lucky lol

a drive in the (peak) park eh.

it was the lane after monsal as you come through the gate and you have a farm yard then off to another gate and the farmer opened it and smiled :lol

actually we came across load of people yesterday their was around 30 ramblers going down houndkirk, then we met a couple of scramblers that also opened gate for us

then we met them again on mill lane then we came across some ponies on school lane and let them past

and then on the last lane on dirtlow they said they got a bit lost and asked where the nearest road was so i showed them on the nav unit

i was actually quite surprised we didnt get any finger shaking or nothing and all said hello :thumb2

i dont know the gents name but he is from a different forum and i have aired my concern on their as well

Due to all your group being LR vehicles might have summat to do with it:doh Not a wannabe landy owner :lol:lol:lol:lol:lol, reason we got in front of your group we cut out a few lanes as getting late.

hi guys .
sorry to see off piste at pindale.
had the route makers been removed?
last time i was that way
off piste routes had been blocked.
what about removing the off piste pictures .
not a good advertisement for the club.

Hi all,
To be honest i really did not realise that paticular area was a no go, although its just an old rock quarry.
But on a more serious note if some are that concerned with damage to green lanes, why on earth did you a buy a 4x4 to go green laning with? those who bought a 4x4 for other reasons fine, but please, splashing through puddles are you joking!!!!!!

Sorry if this upsets some people but after 17 years of off roading, spending weekends repairing green lanes, being polite to all users, only to get abuse some times & then shut more than 60% of the lanes, we're kidding ourselves if you think this is making one bit of difference mark my words.

I think we have some rambles in disguise here in the club?

And no im not arguing with the law.

i think the problem nellie is linking illegal and irresponsible activity with the forum , no matter what anyones view is

Todays laning

hi nellie.
not getting at you either its just the attention pindale has had from the operation BLACKBROOK policing over the last year any off piste driving there will get jumped on from a great height.
THE QUARRY IS AN SSI. site . with a byway running through it.

Sounds a bit like The Sarn in Wales...

The problem is if there arent clearly signed routes & others have strayed i.e. Strata then people tend to think they can choose which ever route they want.
I've done it myself when i 1st started.

Who ever leads the group should have the local knowledge or at least be able to advise the right & wrong route then its down to the individual if they wanna go off route & risk getting done, giving the 4x4's yet more agro, the froum & yet more amo to close the lane...

Nellie can vouch for my guidence in Wales :thumbs

Its an area that will always pi$$ people off.....
