Im thinking of dropping a kenlowe fan on my Mav, has any one else put one on?

Im a cheep skate and got twin fans and a adjustable thermostat off flebay (all new), bin on 2 years now and not a prob. Kenlowe to much money unless of corse you got plenty.

illy

makeitfit,well made some fit!

personally stick with stock, love to hear a viscous
in full roar.

think says it all on kenlowe site where if towing
across europe says use factory gear.

on a uk non towing car might see some benefits
though theres quite some payback, if only going
to gain a mpg or two

I have a 16" and a 13" in place of the viscous one, thermostatically controlled (on at 95c) with a manual override.

Warmup in time winter is vastly reduced and mpg is DEFINATELY better by 2-3, I would even say 4-5mpg at times.
Rest of year 1-2mpg.

Truck is alot quieter & free from the bloody viscous thing roaring when it need not.

If you are running stock horsepower towing then these fans will suffice unless it is very warm or are faced with prolonged steep hills.

Recommended mod.

Remember these trucks are built in spain to cope with spain and have a somewhat over-capacity cooling system.

I was thinking of putting one on to cut the MPGs down and get a bit more BHP out the engine. but looking at this, it dont look like its worth it.

I did mine and it's defo not stock :lol
Cant stand the broody noise that viscous thing makes
I find most of the time they're not on at all. Also worth bunging in some "water wetter" stuff, it brings the running temp down a bit. Often used in race cars etc :thumbs
