Tbh bud the higher rated winches usually achieve the higher rating through gearing rather than a stronger motor.

My winch is a 9000lb/4082kg one but it is a Superwinch (good quality brand). Should probably be a wee bit higher rated as ideally should be 1.5x the weight of the fully loaded vehicle (Trol is ~3000kg) but it was too good an opportunity to pass up and I've got a pretty beefy snatch block if I need to up the rating a bit :D

I'm pretty sure we advised to get a 12v winch before :lol

Anything is possible, I used to drive a volvo about too :lol

As an Ex Volvo driver, I can only say you do not "Drive" Volvo's, you relax, sink into the super comfortable seats, and then Aim them...:lol

They need those seats though to make up for the amount of time you spend standing out in the cold at petrol stations filling them up...:augie

Yes that is also true. It was a boring car, but in a strange way i do still miss it.

I still remember hurtling up behind a chavved out gold on the twisty roads, he was doing about 70 we were doing about 80 :augie

Needless to say he thought we were old bill and he shot off, so we followed him through 5 towns :lol

The whole time he couldn't shake us off his tail.

This was back in my more "wild" days :augie

Ah, fond memories of my old volvo 750 estate.....huge, comfortable, relatively fast......and heated seats.....which actually saved a relationship......after a day on Helvelyn and charging along Striding Edge...my partner who I did not realise did not like heights nearly chucked me out....if it wasn`t for the heated seats........still together 19 years on and she loves the T2.....:thumb2
