Sounds daft, but i am thinking of doing my office windows, the sun in the mid afternoon can be very distracting - it keeps me awake :augie

Bit off topic here Plank, you have discussed:

Your Business, ie your office

You are discussing palels that are covered in tint to stop the sun, so Solar panels.
Were you joking about falling asleep in the afternoon.

Not a single word about 4x4 vehicles

but then it isn't a dedicated 4x4 thread... :lol

15% means light transmission, so how well can you see out?
I was thinking about this for use on the boat windows.

Maybe a bronze one would be better.

I'd have to see some first.

How well do they cope with condensation, and squeegies, do they scratch the surface?

Maybe.. but if the sun was glinting off your solar panel on your caravan, as you wait to go on holiday after you finish work, waiting for your family to arrive after they made the booking on the phone as they were having problems with their computer...... Then NO :nenau

As daft as it seems, your other thread has made a valid point, so often we deviate from the original topic, which is often 4x4 related, but that's what makes this site fun.

Otherwise it's like reading a car manual and becomming a geek.:confused:

I agree, my thread was a 'reaction' to the 'membership' thread that suggested we must stick to 4x4's or the site will come to an end :thumb2

do any of you know that you can get a film that absorbs all the heat onto the glass, I use it on operating theater high power lights without it the patient would fry, with it the light is cold and the glass in front of the bulb gets hot, there is a glass made by Hannilux but it is so expensive it would make your eyes water, but this film is by comparison cheap not quite as good but very very effective, Rick
