before the T2 I had an 806, had to put some suff in the car then

not with the T2 ALL in the caravan

the kids dont go with us now so weve got loads of space. We travel with the van clear. ie all weve got to do is unhitch, switch services on and wind the legs down to use. 99% of the rest of the kit goes in the back of the car or packed in lockers. Its more out of the way there :D similar to Bri's method :thumb2

why did you have to put stuff in the car but not truck if the max weight of the van hasnt changed  i dont follow

sounds good, a stabilising device that actually works - long overdue!

so how does it work then?

Its only a stabilisng device as in it brings it back into line after its gone. Im not sure which axis it monitors but i would guess yaw at least . It then aplies the brakes in varying degrees until its happy its back on line when it picks up unusual movement. I did wonder if it would screw up if say we were driving the conniston road but it didnt as fr as i was aware.

Very clever stuff (although probably only 20p of components from china) but as i say very effective in my limited experience :thumb2

systematic application of the brakes, sounds obvious when you think about it!

got to be better than those friction pads gripping your ball

hello terranoman
nice caravan :thumbs we was looking at one of those but a bit too pricey for us a the moment so we got an older one,an abbey county, had several great holidays cant wait to start going away this year:clap

caravan swingers mmm they even had a ralye in leamington spa i bet the leamington society would love that to be common (carnal!) knowledge! give em sommat better to moan about than bt green cabbinets looking unsightly!

was clost to 100% of the 806 tow max..

mmmmmm..................still within though by a good few kg and the tow rating is the amount the vehicle can handle brakes clutch wise, its the weight of the vehicle that affects the tail wagging the dog ;)

We too have a little caravan, a Sterling 390/2 only about 950kgs all up... However the citroen piccaso I had was crap at towing it! 1.8 petrol but only did about 20mpg with it on the back and we would struggle to get up hilly bits on the motorways lol...it had to go so hence the terrano :clap:clap:clap... tows it like a dream and more mpg:thumbs Looking forward to a lot of trips out this year too

we had a 2 litre petrol mondeo and a smaller van than the current one. Bought the 4x4s and get better fuel consumption. No brainer isnt it and it annoys the anti 4x4ers when they find out theyre not gas guzzlers :D:D:D:D:D

Got offered a free caravan at the weekend while out to dinner.....her indoors is having a purple fit every time I threaten to phone her mate who offered it to me LMAO, I'm going to play on this one for a week or two! :lol
