Timing advice please.

I have recently modified the mechanical pump. I've fitted the 11mm rotor head from the electronic pump into the mechanical one.
Plenty of fuel now but I don't know which way to go now regarding timing.
Both pump or cam.
It's more reluctant to start at present and tick over is quite lumpy.
Throttle response though seems epic.
