So, the fuel gauge has packed up - it's the meter itself thats gone (float test okay.)

The solder on the gauge pins is dry and cracked - any attempts to solder it need 4 hands and magnifying glasses, so the next step is a trip to Maplins for a conductive pen.

This could be a cheap way of fixing it, or a disaster....... :)

Can u just reheat the solder joint thats there?

May work

tried that - one handed with a magnifying glass :)

It was better for a while, in as much as it would give a reading when first switched on, but then drop to zero fuel.

So I got some solder, and tried that... now it doesn't register at all :(
