tickover adjustment

I have fitted a Speedbox to my Terrano 2 1998 and if I turn the adjustment screw to make make power gains, the idle speed increases. How do we adjust the idle speed back to 750 or so. But if I turn the box adjuster up more, the engine spits back so that is probably too far. If the box is turned upfurther, the engine runs roughly and the instructions say to turn adjustment back, quite rightly but the idle speed is about 1000 minimum. Any tips please?

im not totally sure what it is you are asking .... if its with regard to the speedbox only ..... im sorry i dont have a clue , but if its with regard to the t2 ..... page 50 of the manual deals with idle speed adjustment i think

Its done on the potentiometer (at least I think thats what it is) on the actual loud pedal.

BUT before you start fannying about, with the Tunit box (not yours I know), you adjust the thing by winding the screw clockwise til revs pick up...keep going a bit more and it starts to hunt and run like a pig. You then back it off at least six turns.....but I've found in practice you often need even more, as it can fluff like hell on the overrun in slow stop/start traffic, and also if I use SVO it needs winding back even more....so depends what your instructions say.......:nenau

PS - thats six turns out of a possible 32 if that helps give you some idea...?

What doesn't, the Speedbox? Pray do tell more....I don't know the kit but if you know something we don't we have to torture you til you tell us LOL
