the battery died on the wife this mornin so arranged one for when i finished work to fit at a shocking price of £89.00 8O 8O 8O(i know metal shortage an all that)

came home put key in ignition and the blower was on full and the radio blaring away -blond- so turned em off and it started  after more than the normal few cranks

no wonder it wouldnt start if the power was low i calmly expained to the wife

anyway to the point.picked up battery, came home to fit it and it was to big -banghead- -banghead- so back to shop to be shown and told thats the one listed.but it overhung the tray an inch and half and had no lip at the front of batt to fix holding bracket to.

that was number 270 for a t2 2.7 td.
so the factors said maybe it was number 96 for a 2.7d but the terminals were wrong way round

so replaced it with the number 69 which was on there in the first place and only £52.00 but he said its only 70 amps and should have something with bigger ampage to turn the beast over.fingers crossed all seems well

so what is the right battery :?: .im gonna ring nissan tommorow to check

i've just put a 95amh in my mav. starts first time, even with the frost we had this morning. a flat battery could also be a sign that the alternator might be on itys way out.

me cousins an auto sparky an he checked before i brought the battery and its pushing out 13.9 volts just on tick over

im strugling to get a battery thought itd be same as patrol sein as share engine but different size and terminals wrong way round probibly just change battery leads for longer ones and bung big battery in there!

I had an issue trying to get a new battery for my T2. I wanted a heavy duty one but could not get one to fit.

u near long compton? mate mine built few houses down there, i had snack van in layby outside shipston for while one of his lads mrs ran it for me!

yep not far away. long compton is between moreton and chipping norton.

probibly flown past you on fosse then maverick was always in shipston one lads used to live over there maybe even the transit never really used to let that outve me sight it was my baby lol!

certainly is mate was down your way in floods playin in water it was good in shipston!

yep it certainly was a bit damp  took my mav through a little village called paxford, other side of fosse to shipston, had the water upto the windows  some idiot tryed driving his '05' evo through moreton. mate of mine said he floored it, skimmed across water for about 20 yards then sank like a submarine :!: all you could see was the roof. he should have left it in the middle of the high street where it was parked where the water only came up about six inches. expensive mistake 8O
