Sorry mate, I bought them, they're no different to normal/xenon/whatever.

dont tell daved ffs. they are illegal. your not allowed 100w for road use

won't matter about the legality, they're actually less bright than the original bulbs

I bought some as well and agree with 11redrex, very slightly brighter than standard 60/55w, but not as much as I would have thought. Now have 60/55w Osram Nightbreakers - very much better.

Agreed, just been through all that:doh I had some rally bulbs 120/110 things that were a total dissapointment AND they get mega hot and melt the plug:doh
Got night breakers on now and I'm legal :lol
Still got PIAA bulbs in the spots though 120 watt but they're 35 quid a pop:eek:

Do you reckon piaa's are worth the extra dosh ? I could get a set off flea bay but they seem pretty expensive for the performance :nenau

I almost clicked the button to buy at the weekend for the full beam part of mine :augie

They are totally brilliant :lol sorry..........
I dont know why but Trex Simon said it's to do with how accurate the filaments are aligned in the blub etc and more detail than I remember or understood:eek:
The PIAAs really do look like they're twice as bright though:thumbs
They seem more robust too as they've survived many a makeitfit adventure:naughty
Mine are also fitted in PIAA spots, so I'm sure there's a lot to do with the reflector too:cool:

I had some 100w PIAA 8" spots.... litterally turned night into day!!!

On a seperate note been to Halfrauds tonight for a new bulb on other car... they are doing a 'buy one get one free' on upgraded bulbs at mo!
