i have to admit their isnt much you can slate about them good for playing about in

The down side is the petrol engine & water :(
If you go over 12"s ya pushing ya luck where as most other pterol 4x4's would be ok  Think its down to the engine being mounted so low :(

i really like the Suzukis, something kinda simple about them that you can trust...i dont like Vitara though....

I'll find a pic of ours to post all bog standard 195mm ground clearance (incidentaly the same web site gives the same clearance for a Terrano!) (7.7 inches) and 152 PSI, So not as low as they look, I think a lot of large 4x4's have high sills thatcreate the impression of more clearance when the real measurment is under the diffs! nothing else counts. Range rovers are the worst for that, big high sills and the diffs scraping the road!

I don't know about a jimny, you'd have to search for ground clearance, you know a few good links for exagerated figures i beleive, so it's probably about 2 foot! :lol

but seriously tyre size doesnt mean much if the diffs are different sizes here http://www.carpages.co.uk/suzuki/suzuki-jimny-21-01-05.asp - you will see it isn't all that different to a terrano! les than 5mm!

and it has a smaller turning circle and better approach and departure angles!

yes read that one then i got side tracked caus people were trying to talk some one into buy a landy lol

didnt think as standard it would be that hight at least it dont look it lol

i saw one of these pull out a defender when the owners mates disco and 90 coudlnt get him out lol (it was heavily modded)

I tink their down fall is fuel consumption, for the size of the car and the power of the engine the fuel consumption is very poor. So you might as well run a bigger 4x4 as it will cost you no more!

The idea of them is great a small 4x4 the 'micra' of the of road world, but in rewality they use as much fuel as a T2 (well nearly) and cost more to tax than an L200!

Thats exactly why I sold my vitara. Cost pretty much the same to run my maverick in terms of mpg and tax. And it was tiny inside and underpowered 1.6 petrol.

Although the only main thing I had to do to mine is change the front suspension arms. Which took about 3 hours after work.

i'm not so ken on vitaras and we've had a few, the best of the lot is the 2litre petrol grand Vitara (not the latest shape) It makes a very good all rounder, wih no real problems. Though the towing capacity is only 1850k other than that a very decent motor.
