Hi all, count me in. Sounds like camp sites are camping and caravan club sites so hope they accept non members. I'll make it to either. I'm just away myself at the minute teaching youngsters tomorrow. I'll keep an eye out on the thread.

Hi all, we are now in Devizes in our van ready to board our hire boat tomorrow, we end the hire next Friday so on Saturday all being well (Rustic being able to meet that is) we will travel with the van to Rustic's area, and hopefully meet up with you all, update as the week goes on, Rick

Hello Ian,
Our rally field is available that weekend but I must stress that we do not have toilets on site. We only accept tents if you have your own facilities - a caravan would suffice or a toilet tent.
The Camping & Caravan site at Wandon is much closer to Castle Ring and they have facilities there. We are not a C & CC CS any more, we are now independent. If you would like to use our rally field please advise.

No there's no showers. I'm prepared to slum it for 1 night. They require tent users to have a chem toilet and tent though, which I do not have.

I'm good for a Friday or Saturday arrival. If I get down on Friday and we stay at this toiletless/showerless site I might bring the bike down for a Saturday bimble on The Chase. :clap
From what I remember, Rugeley isn't tourist central. :augie

Aiming for the expensive luxury option, and a yorkshire man to boot.:lol

So we have 2 options available.
1. Rally field at forest view park. No dunny or showers.

2. Cannock Chase camping and carravanning site. Luxury dunny and showers but min 2 night stay.

Both sites are a stone's throw from each other too

I'm with The Don. Easy like a Sunday morning. But, if I'm paying for 2 nights, I'll be there Friday.

Let's all agree and get together to compare ....... stuff :naughty:lol
