hi all as you know I been having problems with my maverick 2.7td 1994

started when I had half a tank I went out the following morning and she was reading full tank and fuel light was on ???

went out yesterday and gauge had dropped back to half where it was originally but fuel light was still on

went out today and drove her and fuel light went out but I now have

no ignition lights
no rev counter

indicator lights and clock and spedo all work ok though ????

please any ideas or help would be great

Electrical problems always difficult, from your description I would say a bad earth connection some place, but rayf3262 will probably be better able to point you in the right direction, Rick

cheers mate I will have to double check earths and all electrical connections

oh the joys :(

Sounds like a poor connection on the instrument pod.
Power for the fuel gauge, rev counter ignition lights all start their supply from here.

Disconnect the plugs two or three times to clean off any corrosion.
best regards,

Rustic

thank you mate shall give it a go and go from there

hoping it is just the connection behind the instrument cluster and nothing more serious
