So after my expert tuition, kim booked on for her 5 day Intensive course with test on the Friday.

Now most people have loads of training first... Her nephew spent a year having lessons first... Not kim :p

Test yesterday at 14:30 had to do emergency stop and 3 point turn, stalled twice due to nerves and was slightly hesitant of the whizzing school mums but only 5 minors

Insurance is set on the little ka now...

Oh...
And she can also drive the Terrano :sly

Excellent stuff, it's a great relief to pass. Congratulations.

Well Alex, pass on my congratulations to Kim.
Remind her, the real learning is about to begin.:thumb2

Just a quick question to all other well seasoned drivers, when was the last time you read the highway code?

I picked up a copy a couple of years ago, and there were a few changes, mostly to road markings, white hash lines in particular.

So a quick quiz..
where would you see cat's eyes of the following colours...?
White
Red
Amber
Green

at a guess I'd say that red on the offside (outside of outside lane motorway/dual carriageway)
White on the central divide of between carriage ways
Amber (total guess) slip roads or lay by.
Green the nearside limit of the carriageway (motorway/dual carriageway) before you go offroading
I had this on my motorbike test some 20+ years ago and got myself confused and answered incorrectly, this resulted in a few nerves and more incorrect highway code answers. I passed but was told to brush up on the Highway Code.

Oh there have been a lot of changes over last few years, zig zags on crossings is one that has changed dramatically, as have parking rules, etc, I keep an up to date copy and try to look over it regularly, cos memory is not what it was, Rick

Sorry I meant to congratulate Kim first then forgot, well done Kim, Rick

10 important benefits of having a wife that can drive.

The most important benefits for having a wife that can drive...

1 When you go out for the evening, share the driving... YOU drive there lol.. :augie
2 When you run out of beer at home... she can nip out to the off licence or supermarket.
3 When the kids want picking up from a late event, she can pick them up, and you can have a drink
4 When you phone for a takeaway, she can pick it up, and you can have a drink.
5...

You can see where this is going...

Oh and 10, when you have a replacement shoulder operation, and you can't drive, she can pick you up from the hospital, and take you to the pub.

Alex, this should change your family life lol...

Tell the Mrs well done, I remember I had to really push my better half to start driving. Passed the theory and practical first time and told me it was the best thing she had ever done :thumb2

Congrats kim. Can't keep my missus out of my terrano! She loves driving it. [emoji53]
