That's the plan bud :thumb2

Also if you or anyone else on here is ever up around my neck of the woods I can speak to Walter (site owner) and see if we can arrange to get you on the site with your own vehicle (you can't pay and play on a daily basis) :)

Either that or I can probably give you a go behind the wheel of the Trol ;)

From speaking with some of the other members on Sunday the site apparently has a bit of a rep as a vehicle breaker if you don't use your head and judging by some of the areas I've seen so far I can see why, so I'm sure you'd enjoy it :D

Shame its so far away, I'd love to give my Terrano a go with your Patrol. :clap

Sunday 15 March 2015

Was down the site again on Sunday -it was good! :D :sly

A lot of the site was porridgy type mud and standing water so revs, momentum and difflock were the call of the day! Had a lot of rain the past week or so and a lot of the site members with pure offroad trucks and mega aggressive tyres had done a good job of churning up most of the lower/more sheltered parts... Trol is the heaviest thing that goes on site (~3 ton fully loaded) and there were a few times my route was decided for me!

Took a couple of my mates with me. Gave them a go too,one of them was scared to put any lead in his right foot and the other often had too much :doh:lol

Took a few pics...

What a tease, if you weren't so far away I'd bring the terrano down for sure :clap

Vids - Apologies for the language...

There's also some vids taken on my phone using the windscreen mount... apologies in advance for the amount of commentary (it was for my mates benefit before they got behind the wheel) and the slightly excessive amount of colourful language

Part 2

Part 3 - listen for the bang as the towbar bracket saves my bumper (I'd already removed the towball so it's just the bar running the width of the bumper that's on the Trol just now - solid!)

Love that site :D Now the days are getting longer I'll be going more often hopefully :sly

You're definitely missing out :p

Epic fun for sure :thumbs I dont know how you managed to stop and take so many pics lol
Those hills almost look familiar, makes me miss seeing views like that, I might come back up that way in a couple of weeks. Whereabout is the site?

Haha some of them were taken by my mate while I walked the route :lol

Although I've been over the main technical bits quite a few times before I never take them for granted as they can easily change from the weather/other vehicles so I usually have an initial walk of them just to check. The site does apparently have a rep as a vehicle breaker if you're careless!

It's up near Bridge of Earn, club page from the website here http://www.scotoffroad.co.uk/club.html

He only really does yearly memberships but there are occasions when clubs come to visit for a day so if you email he could maybe sort you out. Alternatively, depending on the day, I could see if I can be down and you can come possibly round with me :thumb2

Its good to see someone driving off road with common sense other than floor it and see what happens :doh
If I make it up I might give you a shout to see whats happening, will be good to see your truck too :thumbs

Mr Barrbeast sir,
Thank you so much for an AWESOME afternoon, my jaw is still on the floor with what that Patrol of yours done. No pictures do the gradient of that hill justice. And getting through that swamp. :clap clap:clap:clap:clap.

Excellent pictures, nice to see a truck being used for it's intended purpose & I realize pictures rarely show the true gradient
